Client is looking for a resource to test the Enterprise application.

Description:

Application Software Quality Assurance program in conjunction with the Motor Vehicle application will empower citizens of DC To promote the safe operation of motor vehicles and public safety, while providing outstanding customer service. This application will require development and implementation of Client application to build a comprehensive digital government experience that empowers residents, businesses, and visitors to navigate the process of driver’s license and support each step along the way.

The QA Tester will test the application to meet the project objectives and support new or expanding business objectives. This will include requirements review/analysis, creating test cases, test case execution and creating defects for the new or updated software applications.

Candidate must have technical proficiency for testing Software Applicationsalong with proficiency in Jira. Candidates should be able to participate in theentire development lifecycle from design through deployment. Ability to performrequirements review, write test cases, automate test cases, execute test cases,and create defects is essential. Be able to communicate to the Project Team fordefects/issues identified during testing.

The QA Tester will work in an Agile Team environment to perform softwareapplication testing to verify and validate the application requirements arecovered, to and improve our internal and client-facing environment.

The QA Tester will be working in a supportive and fast-paced team with thedevelopment team and opportunities to increase your professional knowledge.

The Candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Performing Software Application Testing ofcustomized solutions within the software platform to support critical businessfunctions and meet the project objectives, client use requirements and companygoals
• Write automated test scripts based on the UserStories and develop a methodology
• Communication with project management, clients,and other developers to ensure effective collaboration throughout the testingphase as a team player
• Knowledge of the database understanding andschemas to validate the test results
• Knowledge in API testing and understanding thewireframes in Figma/XD.
• Maintaining a flexible and proactive workenvironment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements andcustomer objectives and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully.
• Direct interaction with clients, managers, andend users is necessary to analyze project objectives and capabilityrequirements, including specifications for user interfaces, customizedapplications, and interactions with internal and external instances.
• Collaboration with various internal departments,including development and operations, to ensure new DMV application supportsinternal needs relating to functionality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies,plans, and test cases (functional, automation, integration, regression).
• Execute manual and automatedtests, track defects, ensure resolution with proper documentation.
• Automate test cases usingtest automation frameworks and tools (e.g. Selenium, ACCELQ etc.).
• Collaborate with developersand business analysts to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform cross-browser,usability testing.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.
• Document test results, maintain test artifacts.
• Use defect tracking tools JIRA and manage defect lifecycle.
• Ensure and follow all DC Government security standards.

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 8+ years’ experience in software testing / QA.
• Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools (JIRA).
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, ACCELQ).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Must worked with version control.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail.

Preferred / Desirable Qualifications

• Automation testing experience (e.g. Selenium, ACCELQ).
• Security testing knowledge.
• Experience in REST API along with integration testing.

Required Skills:

• +6 Years Extensive experience with Micro focus Test Tools ALM
• +6 Years Experience with Jira 
• +10 Years Extensive experience in Testing Reports.
• 10 Years experience in SQL skills to write SQLs to fetch data from PS tables, for validating table data and testing.
• +10 Years Communication with project management, clients, and other developers to ensure effective collaboration throughout the testing phase.
• 10 Years -Candidates should be able to participate in the entire development lifecycle from design through deployment.
• +8 Years in Ability to perform requirements review, write test cases, execute test cases, and create defects is essential.
• +6Years in adapting functional business requirements/processes to technical solutions based upon enterprise application solution sets 
• +6 years in experience with one or more of following: investment analysis, data warehousing, e-commerce, ROI analysis, HR analysis, info dissemination.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
• Candidate must qualify for a STaR2 Journeyman Labor Category

Highly Desired Skills:

• Experience with ERP management processes such as knowledge mgmt., supply chain mgmt., material mgmt., logistics, and procurement 10 Years
