Network Engineer for Cisco/Meraki wireless, Cisco LAN infrastructure and Cisco ISE design, equipment/software refresh and UPS Battery Infrastructure Project. Typical Experience: 84+ months hands-on and specific to Cisco wireless,LAN,ISE and UPS products

Role Types: Network Engineer - Wireless Network, LAN and ISE re-design and equipment/software refresh. UPS battery infrastructure.

Expected Skills: Able twork without assistance; able tmanage multiple complex work efforts; may have advanced education; should have extensive industry experience. Excellent time management and documentation skills. Excellent communications skills (verbal and written).

Description (including, but not limited to):

• Design, implementation and troubleshooting of both the hardware and software necessary for a LAN and wireless computer network.
• Specialization in Cisco/Meraki wireless products, methodologies, implementation and troubleshooting.
• Extensive experience with CiscLAN products, methodologies, implementation and troubleshooting
• Extensive experience with CiscISE methodologies, implementation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with rack-based UPS battery implementation, monitoring and alerting
• Work with business units on obtaining price quotes for new equipment and coordinating installation of purchased equipment and software.
• Work with IT teams and management and provide reports, summaries and documentation for all tasks and projects worked on.

Daily task examples (including but not limited to):

• Obtain and send price quotes tbusiness units based on environment design
• Coordinate equipment orders and installation/configuration
• Equipment installation and configuration
• Update Wireless Controllers tnew version of Software
• Update CiscISE tnewer version - ISE 3.1.0 is the current Gold Star Release (requires new license model and requires a valid SSL Certificate on the CiscVirtual ISE appliances)
• Replace campus closet UPS batteries as needed.
• Network UPS Units using network adapter card. Add UPS VLAN tthat buildings for the UPS tuse.
• Update SNMP Strings/NTP/Username/Passwords on each Unit
• Create a spreadsheet with Building and Room numbers of located units and if possible date of last installed battery.
• Add UPS units tmonitoring systems
• Attend weekly meetings
• Work with other IT teams as part of implementation projects
• Create reports and summaries as needed.
• Create systems documentation as needed.

Required Skills:

• PaloAlto Firewall administration, configuration and troubleshooting (including Panorama). 7 Years
• General firewall communications troubleshooting including applications communications and secure communications protocols. 7 Years
• Cisco LAN Infrastructure including Software Defined Access (SDA) support and troubleshooting. 10 Years
• Network infrastructure security vulnerability assessment, research and remediation. 10 Years
• Cisco ISE administration, support and troubleshooting. 7 Years
• Cisco Catalyst Center administration, support and troubleshooting. 7 Years
• Experience with ServiceNow ticketing, change and configuration management modules. 7 Years
• Vendor and client interaction and communications. 10 Years
• Technical information collection and documentation. 10 Years
• Team Interaction and Communications. 10 Years
• Candidate must be local to be able to come onsite as needed.
