Short Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the web application developer on a project to rewrite the user interface of the NC ECHO application for the Department of Public Health.

Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the web application developer on a project to rewrite the user interface of the NC ECHO application for the Department of Public Health. The user interface, which was written using Angular JS and Breeze, will be rewritten using .NET. The application function that collects data from various systems will remain in place.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in application development; or an Associate degree in Computer Science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in application development; or High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and six years of experience in application development showing increasing levels of responsibility; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills

  • + 5Years Developer experience with Angular JS, Breeze, C#, Microsoft IIS, .NET, and SQL
  • + 5Years Experience using an agile or scrum SDLC in a developer role.
  • + 5Years Knowledge of general IT architectural principles, technical designs, and specifications.
  • + 5Years Experience using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • + 5Years Experience using GitHub or Bitbucket.
  • + 5Years Experience using Jira.
  • + 5Years Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into specific software requirements.
  • + 5Years Experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact and communicate effectively with non-technical clients.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution.
