Role Overview

• Insight & Analytics Lead
• Reporting Lead

Team Structure

• Current team: 7 members
• Goal: Hiring 11 by end of year
• Team locations: NYC & London
• Collaboration: Works closely with product managers, researchers, and a design director

Product Responsibilities

• Insight & Analytics (New Product)
  • Goal: Optimize performance or reduce costs for clients
  • Focus: Clean, clear dashboards with strong UI
    • Skills:
    • Strong visual design
    • Ability to sell concepts through visuals
    • Slightly higher emphasis on craft due to newness
• Reporting
  • Goal: Simplify complex UX interactions for publishing statements
  • Focus: Logic, user patterns, interaction models, user flows
    • Skills:
    • UX-heavy product design
    • Experience with large applications
    • Retail-focused mindset
    • Bulk processing logic (e.g., downloading, sending statements)

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience in finance/insurance with regulatory constraints
• Startup-only backgrounds are not a fit
• Prefer candidates not from BNY Mellon
• Financial services experience helpful, but diverse industry background preferred
• End users: Large institutions (insurance agencies, wealth offices, etc.)

Tools & Deliverables

• Design Tools: Figma (primary), Miro (journey mapping)
• Other Tools: Familiarity with AI prototyping tools (not required)
• Deliverables:
  • Figma files delivered in 2-week sprints
  • Discovery sessions (longer lead time)
  • MVP release in November
  • No premature design releases
