Job Description:

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Epic Grand Central Analyst to join our healthcare IT team. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and support of the Epic Grand Central module, which manages patient movement and flow throughout the hospital system. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, Epic certification, and experience in healthcare operations and IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, build, test, and implement Epic Grand Central workflows and configurations.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to understand patient flow requirements and translate them into system solutions.
  • Maintain and optimize existing Grand Central configurations to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to patient movement, bed management, and transport workflows.
  • Document system specifications, workflows, and change requests.
  • Participate in upgrade planning, testing, and go-live support.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and other analysts.
  • Ensure system build complies with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and Epic best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Epic Grand Central Certification (must be current).
  • 3+ years of experience in Epic Grand Central or related modules (e.g., Prelude, Cadence).
  • Strong understanding of hospital operations, patient throughput, and clinical workflows.
  • Experience with healthcare IT systems and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional Epic certifications (e.g., Prelude, Cadence).
  • Experience with large-scale Epic implementations or upgrades.
  • Familiarity with HL7, ADT messaging, and integration with other systems.
  • Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
