Job Description:

 

The primary responsibilities include application enhancement as per business needs, diagnose application issue and provide production support using CICS, COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, stored procedures and other supporting mainframe technologies.

This role will perform senior level business and systems analysis, modeling and design, programming using COBOL, CICS, DB2. Duties also include participation in estimating efforts; consultation and planning for specific modifications and enhancements to production applications/information systems; monitoring technical effort activities for adherence to schedules, milestones, and deliverables; providing status and time reporting; monitoring efforts for quality assurance and adherence to state, departmental and divisional standards and procedures. 

Required skills:

  • Experience in Software development and debugging using Mainframe technologies such as Cobol, CICS, JCL, DB2, TSO, VSAM 10 Years
  • Hands on experience in Programming using DB2(Z/OS), DB2 SQLs, Stored procedures 7 Years
  • Experience with source code management tool like Endevor 7 Years
  • Experience with QMF, SPUFI, and FILEAID/CA tools. 5 Years
  • Extensive experience in debugging COBOL/DB2 application code using tools like XPEDITOR/CA Intertest 5 Years
  • Experience with X/PTR(reporting tool) 4 Years
  • Experience with Zeke or similar job scheduler tools 5 Years
  • Experience with structured system development methodologies such as agile (preferred), waterfall 5 Years
  • Experience in understanding and gathering business requirements, reviewing specifications, developing test cases, and performing unit/system testing 7 Years
  • Excellent written and presentation skills using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Powerpoint and Excel) 5 Years
  • Ability to develop good working relationships/partnerships with clients 5 Years
  • Ability to translate and communicate highly technical concepts to both technical and non IT business users 5 Years
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills 5 Years

Highly desired skills:

 

  • Experience with CA Easytrieve/Plus 1 Years
