Job Description:

• Develop a data quality evaluation and improvement strategy for use across the Department regarding data integrity, timeliness, accuracy, consistency, and completeness
• Work with Data Stewards from each Division to implement data quality evaluation and improvement
• Work with Data Stewards to develop and document business rules for datasets
• Train and educate Departmental staff on data quality importance and best practices
• Perform statistical tests on large datasets to determine data quality and integrity in collaboration with Business Units
• Evaluate system performance and design, as well as its effect on data quality.
• Collaborate with database and software developers to improve data collection and storage processes.
• Write scripts for data cleaning.
• Report data analysis findings to management to inform business decisions and prioritize information system needs.
• Document processes and maintain data records.
• Keep abreast of developments and trends in data quality analysis.  

Required skills:

• 3 years of 
  • Programming in one or more scripting languages
  • Code versioning best practices
  • Quality profiling and evaluation
  • Quality improvement
  • Ability to establish collegial relationships built on trust
  • Bachelors in computer science or related field. 5+ years of experience.
