** Webcam interview.** Initial PO for 12 months; usually projects with this customer goes for 3+ years *** Remote but must pick up laptop in Phoenix AZ; reasonable expenses will be paid

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), your core responsibility includes drafting, planning, and manually execution of various levels of web based application testing - including system, integration, security and functional regression tests. You will be writing tests in Cucumber/Gherkin with Selenium & JAVA an already established framework. As part of a Scrum team, you will bechallenged to add new features to the framework and regression test business functional applications. Team has access to multiple masked environments for development and testing purposes.

  • Required: Strong working knowledge with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) with Gherkin Syntaxes
  • Required: Strong knowledge on Selenium web-driver & Java Core
  • Required: Ability to think outside the box and finding creative ways to validate code; drafting tests based on code commits and through analysis of acceptance criteria 
  • Hands-on experience with writing and executing SQL Queries
  • Working knowledge of Defect tracking tools, Automation Tools, Test case management tools, Testing methodologies, Testing definitions & Processes
  • Applied knowledge of version control, configuration management and continuous integration is desirable
  • Knowledge of Spring, tcserver/tomcat, docker containers, nexus 3rd party jars, AWS infrastructure is a huge plus
  • Environment: Oracle DB, Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Celoxis, Cucumber (Behavior Driven Development BDD) Gherkin syntax for test cases with implementation of Step Definitions and code in JAVA; Jenkins (CI/CD); Docker containers; Java/J2EE framework; Spring, Spring boot apps, micro-services structured applications; Git/Bitbucket; AWS cloud infrastructure.

 

Work History Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 year working as a Software Development Engineerin Test  with 2 years of coding Java automation scripts
  • Minimum of 1 years of Gherkin Syntaxes

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree - preferably in Software Development or Information Technology will be considered a plus
