Role Description:

The Sr. WebSphere Commerce Administrator must have three to five years experience in extensive product knowledge including installation, configuration, tuning and maintenance of ecommerce sites using HCL WebSphere Commerce V8.0 (Enterprise, Professional) This administration professional has an in depth awareness of the product components, the capabilities of the components, as well as the configurations and architecture of production and staging systems. 

Technical Skills Required: 

  • Architect Commerce solutions 
    • Design of Clustered Environments
    • Integration of Commerce into host systems
  • Develop Commerce infrastructure strategies for scalability on demand and stability with a goal of near zero downtime
  • Install and configure WebSphere Commerce v8 on Linux/AIX
  • Maintain environments by applying necessary fixpacks/feature packs 
  • Install and configure DB2 for use with WebSphere Commerce
  • Must be able to create and execute complex sql statements
  • Knowledge of Staging propagation and workspaces
  • Configure HCL WebSphere WCBD build & deployment tool for Commerce applications  
  • Understanding of IHS and proper processes for customer facing SEO configurations
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and should be able to analyze javacores, system dumps, heap dumps and all logs to determine root cause of issues.
  • Strong understanding of tracing facilities and be able to use them to isolate issues,
  • Strong understanding of Commerce Solr Search implementation and advanced clustering methodologies.
  • Strong Scripting Skills
  • Stays abreast of emerging software enhancements / bug fixes.
  • Understanding on network technologies
  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts

Desirable:

  • Installation and configuration of SOLR search application on Linux/AIX, or; 
  • Understanding of Automation Tools
  • Familiarity with cloud based offerings

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelors Degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar discipline
