  1. This is an Oracle E-Business Suite Application Developer position. Overview:

The Oracle E-Business Suite Application Developer (AD) is responsible for analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team. The AD is typically involved in maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work. An AD has a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Application Team. The AD works with both the techno-functional BA, development team, DBAs, infrastructure and vendors to support the City businesses.  

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and resolve issues with Oracle Workflow and AME specifically for Oracle HRMS Self Service
  • Enhance and optimize business processes utilizing form personalization, OAF personalization and Oracle Workflow
  • Modify Payroll processes to meet new rules and regulations by setting up global values, balances, modifying Fast Formulas, creating new deduction or new earning;
  • Develop new OBIEE reports, BI Publisher reports with an understanding of Noetix Views and Noetix workbench;
  • Create technical documentation to be used as training and reference materials for IT staff and / or business users
  • Provides support, troubleshooting and upgrades for various software; develops and supports interfaces between applications; researches and maintains data integrity; and utilizes development tools to maintain applications, interfaces and reports;
  • Communicates and coordinates regularly as appropriate, with others, to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of interdepartmental operations and activities;
  • Designs, implements, evaluates and facilitates systems tests for new applications or enhancements to current applications;
  • Develops detailed functional requirements and design specifications to drive software package configuration and custom system development that align with business goals and processes;
  • Works with business teams to clarify system capabilities, application requirements, procedural needs and priorities within and between departments;
  • Designs, develops, deploys and supports complex Interface solutions;
  • Creates, debugs and runs SQL scripts to conduct data analysis, accuracy validation and data maintenance;

Skills and Technologies:

  • Extensive knowledge of Oracle EBS suite platform (Application Object library, Open Interfaces, APIs, Flexfields, Custom Library, Forms Personalization, OAF Personalization, Alerts, Oracle Workflow, Oracle AME, OA Framework)
  • Experience on the use of SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, SQL *Loader Workflow, XML/BI Publisher, Shell Scripting
  • Experience working with various Oracle modules:  Oracle HRMS, Payroll, Financials, Projects, Inventory, Order Management
  • Experience in gathering reporting and analysis requirements, documenting report specifications, implementing metadata layers including Physical, Business Model and Mapping, and Presentation layer
  • Worked extensively on Oracle BI Administration Tool, Presentation Services, Answers, & Interactive Dashboards and Security Implementation
  • Experience supporting OBIEE environment (preferably OBIEE 12c)
  • Experience supporting and creating new reports utilizing Noetix Views and Workbench

Required skills:

  • 5 years of Extensive experience in Oracle E-Business Suite including specific experience using 12.1 and 12.2 versions
  • 5 years of Dev exp on full Oracle EBS (App Obj Lib, Interfaces, APIs, FlexFields, Forms Person, OAF Person, Alerts, Workflow, AME, OA Framework
  • 5 years of Proficient in Shell Scripting, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, SQL Loader, Workflow, XML/BI Publisher
  • 5 years of Development experience with the Financials module of Oracle EBS
  • 4 years of Extensive knowledge of Oracle BI Administration Tool, Presentation Services, Answers, & Interactive Dashboards & Security Improvements
  • 3 years of Development and Support Experience of an OBIEE Environment (specific experience with OBIEE 12c is a plus)

Highly desired skills:

  • Development experience with the HRMS module of Oracle EBS
  • Development experience with the Payroll module of Oracle EBS
  • Experience Creating and Supporting reports utilizing Noetix Views and Workbench

NIce to have:

  • Development experience with the Order Management module of Oracle EBS
  • Development experience with the Inventory module of Oracle EBS
