Description:

• Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, file servers, ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems; disk drives, data acquisition boards, CD ROM units, printers, and related equipment.
• Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, applying cryptography to network applications, managing host security, file permissions, and adding and deleting users.
• Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventive measures.
• Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software.
• Maintain site licenses for department/organization.
• Develop and conduct various training and instruction for system users on operating systems, relational databases, and other applications; assist users in maximizing use of networks and computing systems.
• Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards.

Required skills:

• 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study
• 8 yeas of Develop and conduct various training and instruction for system users on operating systems, relational databases, and other applications
• 8 yeas of Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards.
• 8 yeas of Perform and/or oversee software and application deployment, installation, and upgrades.
• 8 yeas of Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties
• 8 yeas of Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, Novell networks, UNIX workstations, file servers, ethernet networks, and network cabling
• 8 yeas of Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls and applying cryptography to network applications
• 8 yeas of Maintain site licenses for department/organization.
