*** Very long term project; Long term - usually goes for 3+ years***Webcam interview; remote project but must pick laptop in person at Harrisburg PA *** 37.5 hours per week ***

The purpose of the project will be to redesign and rebuild the RCTS application in a .NET environment, incorporating a number of new features while at the same time improving the functionality of many of the existing capabilities.  This redesign would result in a much more efficient user interface and a new database structure that would better reflect the way remediation contracts are handled.  

The key objectives of the project are:

  • A more robust application that is more closely aligned with the way DEP records, tracks, and manages remediation contracts
  • A means of validating that DEP is being billed the proper rates on the remediation contracts
  • The ability to store budgets in the same database and provide for tracking expenditures against these budgets
  • Online Invoicing for Contractors

Required Skills:

  • Development of Information Technology solutions 5+

  • Microsoft SQL 2012 or newer  5+ years
  • ASP.NET 3.5 or greater with MVC  5+ Years
  • UI Design (HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery)  5+ Years
  • Visual Studio 2017 or newer 
  • Azure DevOps
  • Entity Framework and LINQ  5+ years

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop enhancements or new features using C#, VB, ASP.NET MVC, .NET CORE, ADO.NET, AJAX, jQuery, JavaScript, XML, CSS3, HTML5 and Visual Studio 2017 or newer
  • Design Oracle and SQL database, tables, views. Write database functions and stored procedures.
  • Participates in structured code reviews / walkthroughs.
  • Executes all required process steps.
  • Creates and provide content for operational documentation to Technical Writers.
  • Utilizes configuration management tools, design tools, debugging tools, and any other environment specific tools necessary to create, test, and implement an application.
  • Work in an agile team environment.
  • Manage and complete assigned tasks in Azure DevOps
  • Strong communication skills; both written and spoken
