DMV requires consultant services an individual who are highly skilled and experienced in data warehouse structures and dashboard generation. Work to be performed in a designated DMV office location. 

The IT Specialist will primarily provide technical expertise in data warehousing and dashboard generation using various data sources. 

• Develop and support an extract, transform, load (ETL) process for data warehouse structures that support reporting and data analytic systems. 
• Collaborate with a diverse team of business analysts and report developers to develop and build enterprise data warehouse (EDW) artifacts such as SQL code, logical and physical data models, and business intelligence reports. 
• Contribute to software design and architecture while following development specifications and standards. 
• Perform administration, analyst and developer responsibilities as needed within the full stack supporting the data warehouse. 
• Perform complex analysis and design across multiple database platforms and technologies covering DB2, oracle, SQL and other databases. 
• Instruct and guide those with less experience. 
• To conduct research into new data warehouse applications and determine viability for adoption. 
• Identify and describe business intelligence (BI) problems and requirements from across the organization. 
• Collaborate with data providers to ensure the right data is in the warehouse and is updated as changes occur in the data providers' source system applications. 
• Profile and understand large volumes of source data, including structured and unstructured data. Sources will include MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, flat files, web application API's and the Cloud. 
• Regularly conduct ETL and database performance tuning. Look for ways to improve overall performance. 
• Identify opportunities to leverage existing metrics and develop new metrics to help move the organization forward by identifying waste in our processes. 
• Provide insight into creating and maintain a system that helps ad-hoc metrics providers move to a more robust and shareable reporting interface. 
• Assist in the development of metrics and processes to ensure quality standards are met on new and existing data. 
• Develop complex Dashboards for the agency using various data structures and sources.

• Experience in managing the life cycle of Business Objects server environment and report generation process including generation of reports and dashboards independently

14. Advanced experience in the required technical subject matter. 
15. May function as a niche technical SME (Subject Matter Expert). 
16. Has proven experience across large and complex implementations and systems. 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field with 5-8 years of solid experience in report/Dashboard generation on MicroStrategy and Business Objects platforms

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• 4 years of Professional experience in SOAP WebServices.
• 4 years of Professional experience in ODS/Datawarehouse Concepts.

Desired skills

• 2 years of Professional experience in Installation, Administration, Configuration and Monitoring of Informatica Powercenter.
• 3 years of Knowledge/Familiarity with Informatica Powercenter HTTP Adapter, JMS Adapter, Webservices Hub.
