Qualifications

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong Java development skills in Spring framework with a specialization in micro services running inside a Docker container in a cloud environment (preferably on AWS including but not limited to ECS, EKS)
• Proven experience in identifying, and resolving large scale performance, scalability, and resiliency issues in a high-volume Spring application environment including but not limited to (garbage collection algorithms, thread/connection pool sizing, timeout & resiliency patterns, DB query optimization)
• Experienced with APM performance and resource monitoring tools such as New Relic, Zabbix and Grafana.
• Experience in application development, deployment, frameworks, libraries, databases, and Infrastructure-As-Code (Terraform preferred)
• Solid knowledge and experience in the use of performance profiling tools; such as Linux Perftools, VisualVM, and various other tools for the technologies mentioned above.

Desired Technical Skills:

• Basic to advanced skills in performance testing; to include baselining, load, stress, scalability, endurance, and other related performance test strategies and techniques.
• Experience in implementing performance tests in multi-tiered and micro service architectures.
• Basic to advanced skills in JMeter, Taurus (gettaurus. org), and/or blaze meter in its uses and capabilities. Experience using other commercial tools to perform large scale testing with subsequent analysis and reporting is sufficient, in the absence of Blaze Meter experience. Experience with REST, JSON, XML, RegEx, Groovy, Bean shell, and JavaScript.
