 ** **Long term*** Initial remote due to covid then onsite; must pickup laptop in person. ** This position requires a fingerprint-based background check.

The selected candidate will 

• Write and maintain/extend existing PL/SQL code to convert initial data sets, system enhancements, reports production, and improved transaction editing.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, may lead and direct the work of others, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Develop database packages, procedures, functions, and queries to maintain production data and address Oracle code related production support tickets and provide development support.  
• Design relational models for small and large scale applications.
• Work with project and business analyst leads in order to develop and clarify in-depth technical requirements including logical and physical data modeling activities.
• Expertise in ETL activities like Data Extraction, Data Modeling, Loading (Full/ Delta upload), and scheduling data loads, creating process chains
• Procedures will be developed to migrate these changes or notify business users based on type of edit and business rules. 
• Develop procedures to populate and update a separate de-normalized database for reporting purposes from the transaction database.
• Use Microsoft Team Foundation Server for source code management and team collaboration
• Communicate effectively via email and in person with technical staff, management and business stakeholders as needed in the course of performing job duties.
• Design and implement ETL processes for data transactions related to Enterprise Data Warehouse, Operational Data Store (ODS), and other data structures to support our Business Intelligence operations.
• Help business users analyze data as well as providing data insight to upper management. 
• Identify and test for bugs and bottlenecks in the ETL solution.
• Ensure the best possible performance and quality in the packages.
• Provide support and fix issues in the packages ETL/ELT Developer.
• Provide data analysis and validation.
• Identification of performance issues on production and testing systems.
• PL/SQL and SQL Tuning and Optimization of newly develop and existing applications.
• Familiar with various Datastage stages sequence activities dynamic loading of data from different file formats and Oracle and SQL Server.
• Participate in code reviews and be familiar with industry best practices coding standards.

Qualifications:

• 5 to 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems with strong development experience or other applicable and/or equivalent development skills, knowledge and work history.
• Knowledge of and experience with the following technologies:
• Oracle 11g/12c
• PL/SQL
• ETL Development with 5+ years of experience in IBM Datastage.
• Toad, RedGate,SQL Developer like Oracle development tools
• SQL Loader and other Data Load options
• Source Code and Team Management software (TFS preferred)
• hey will work with the Teams which are working on Agile Development, DevOps and TFS. We will consider, if the candidate have any working knowledge/experience in those areas.
