Responsibilities:

·         Duties include assisting and leading technical network engineering projects (incl. PLAN, DESIGN, BUILD, TEST and HANDOVER phases).

·         Interface with stakeholders to develop requirements, promote simplification, standardization and innovation and to ensure risk are understood and minimized

·         Design and verify the technology solution meets business and technical requirements. Designs should also be in compliance with enterprise architecture guidelines, technology standards and methodology, and security standards.

·         Designs should also include day 2 support requirements such as monitoring, performance and capacity metrics, SLAs, resiliency and disaster recovery plans.

·         Develop and document an integrated test plan for certification of technology solutions and application design in compliance with existing best practices

·         Assist with the implementation of technology solutions.

·         Provide operational handover, technology training and development of user guides and knowledge artifacts -

·         Support 3rd level incident and problem management activities -

·         Support improvement initiatives to simplify and standardize the environment, including the adoption of new processes, tools sets and engineering methodologies like Agile and NetDevOps.

 

Required Skills:

·         Minimum of 5+ years of hands on experience in networking

Understanding of:

o IP Routing OSPF, EIGRP and BGP

o Cisco Routing & Switching Platforms - Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS

o Campus / WAN Design Architectures, and related

o Network Proxies

·         Working knowledge of cloud Networking (AWS needed)

·         Experience working with information security practices, software, and hardware.

·         Ability to work with cross functional teams and achieve tasks

·         Automation experience (CloudFormation, Python, Ansible)

·         Experience with Agile and NetDevOps tools and process

·         Thorough understanding of TCP/IP
