Required Skills:

·        Senior COBOL and DB2 Developer:

• At least 8 years of mainframe batch COBOL/DB2 MVS applications development experience in a z/OS environment accessing DB2 databases.
• Demonstrated experience working with large, sequential, variable length files.
• Ability to quickly analyze requirements & provide accurate level of effort estimates & firmly commit to negotiated delivery dates.
• Strong SQL
• Strong testing skills
• Strong analytical & problem solving (JCL/SQL error handling and debugging) skills
• Comfortable working under Project Manager supervision and receiving instructions from project/team lead developers
• Ability to work proactively and independently
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Demonstrated experience within the healthcare insurance industry and knowledge of claims/enrollment data is a plus.
