Responsibilities

• Set up, monitor, and trouble shoot Data Science production jobs. Help to prepare data flow / security documentation
• Data Science Software Packages installation & configuration (PySpark / Python H2O / Angoss Knowledge Seeker)
• Addressing dataflow issues from sources such as Hadoop clusters, Teradata, MySQL repositories, etc.
• User account and set up & management
• Data Science Helpdesk Service
• a. Help users fixing issues with access to various data sources
• b. Help users with installation of client software on their local computers
• c. Help users on moving data across different systems

Skills

• Professional knowledge / experience with Linux OS administration / shell scripts writing / applications install & management
• Professional Python programming experience
• Working experience with Database Administration, ability to do simple SQL query writing
• Deep experience in rolling out and managing PySpark environment
• Experience with accessing Hadoop/Teradata/SQL, setting ssh/sftp public/private key based communication
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Installation & administration of Python Machine Learning Packages (such as H2O, Keras, TensorFlow) a plus
• Experience of working with cloud (Azure, GCP,) a plus
• Exposure to JIRA or JIRA-like system a plus
