Position: ETL SQL Server to AWS Migration Engineer

Location: 6+ Months

Duration: Dover, NH

Responsibilities

• Migrate and transform existing data from MS SQL to AWS
• Design and build the ETL processes to extract information from our applications and third-party systems
• Write, maintain, monitor and improve the logic processing of millions of records
• Build an automated data replication solutions
• Cross-functional data integration efforts, both upstream and downstream
• Work with the engineering team to continuously acquire new data, improve data delivery processes, detect and fix data quality issues
• Designing schemas for analytics, reporting and data warehouses

Requirements:

• Passionate about data and technology and extremely curious
• Strong, recent, hands on expertise in data migration from MS SQL to AWS
• Experience in SQL to NoSQL data transformation
• Strong SQL & NoSQL data modeling background
• Experience in SQL & NoSQL database tuning and optimization
• Experience working in agile environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS technologies like
  • SQL & NoSQL (RDS & DynamoDB)
  • data streaming and ETL (e.g. Kinesis, Lambda, S3)
  • data migration, replication & transformation (e.g EMR, DMS)
  • distributed computing platforms (e.g. MapReduce)
  • data warehousing & analytics (e.g. Redshift, Athena, MapReduce, Elasticsearch)
